GlobalSPAN Corporation is a member of the IPM Group, a Philippine-based business conglomerate that occupies major positions in several industries, namely infrastructure development and construction, real estate development and management, environmental resource management, mining, data transcription, and security manpower. Six years ago IPM entered the BPO (Business Processing Outsourcing) industry with TRX Global performing medical and legal transcription and data entry. TRX operates approximately 100 stations.
In May of 2008, IPM entered the call center operations with the acquisition of the operations of an existing call center company. This call center company operated outbound telemarketing services for satellite TV and mortgage companies for the US consumer market and appointment setting, construction services and Web development for the business market. It also provided telemarketing service to the UK market in wireless and financial markets. GlobalSPAN absorbed the contracts, management and agents of this company and set up its own call center in its facilities, Brixton Technology Center (BTC). GlobalSPAN offers seat rental for inbound, outbound call processing and BPO, as well as both outsource inbound and outbound full services.
GlobalSPAN has two sites in the Pasig area: the BTC in Kapitolyo and the Prestige Tower in Ortigas. A BPO Hub is being planned for the Bulacan area 40 kilometers north of Metro Manila which will provide over 100K square meters of floor space in multiple buildings.
Senior management has over 15 years experience in the call center industry and the General Manager set up the one of the first call centers in the Philippines in 1999 - 2000 with the acquisition of TCI (Telemarketing Concepts, Inc) by SVI Connect. The junior management, supervisory and IT support staff have over ten years experience in the operations and support of call centers and BPO companies.
